# Panoptic IT Solutions is now a Guaranteed Irish member

On 1 October 2026 we became a licensed member of Guaranteed Irish. Here is what the symbol stands for, how we were assessed, and what it means for the businesses we support.

In short

Panoptic IT Solutions became a licensed member of Guaranteed Irish on 1 October 2026. Guaranteed Irish is a not-for-profit that has backed businesses in Ireland since 1974, and members are assessed on jobs, community, provenance and sustainability. For our clients, the symbol confirms what they already get from us: an Irish team of 14 with offices in Kilkenny and Cork, local engineers, and support from people who know how Irish businesses work.

When you hand your IT to a provider, you want to know who they are, where they are, and whether they will still be around in five years. On 1 October 2026, Panoptic IT Solutions became a licensed member of [Guaranteed Irish](https://www.guaranteedirish.ie/), which gives you an independent way to check.

We're proud of this one. Here is what the membership means, why we applied, and what it changes for the businesses we look after.

## What Guaranteed Irish membership means

Guaranteed Irish is a not-for-profit organisation that has promoted businesses in Ireland since 1974. You have probably seen its green "g" symbol on products in Irish shops. Membership is open to service businesses too, from accountants and solicitors to IT providers like us.

The bar to apply is set out on the [Guaranteed Irish membership page](https://www.guaranteedirish.ie/become-a-member/): a business must have traded in the Republic of Ireland for more than 12 months, with annual turnover of at least €100,000. Each application then goes to an [appraisals committee](https://www.guaranteedirish.ie/appraisals-committee/), which assesses the business on four areas:

- **Jobs:** the employment the business creates and sustains in Ireland.
- **Community:** what it gives back to the places it operates in.
- **Provenance:** where the business is rooted and run from.
- **Sustainability:** what it does to reduce its environmental impact.

Passing that assessment is what earns a business the right to carry the "Licensed Member" symbol.

## Why we applied

Our aim is that by 2030, Panoptic is seen as the most trustworthy IT company in the country, supporting and securing the livelihoods of 120 businesses. Trust is earned in small, repeated ways. You get a same-day reply to every call and email. The engineers who scope your project are the ones who deliver it. Our reports are written in plain English.

Those are claims we make about ourselves. An independent assessment against published criteria is a different kind of evidence, and that is why it mattered to us.

> "We're absolutely delighted to have been accepted as part of Guaranteed Irish, demonstrating our commitment to Ireland and to generating employment in the local economy. It's an exciting time and we're looking forward to exploring the opportunities to connect with and support other like-minded businesses across the country and to explore more ways to promote sustainability both in our business and in the local area. If any businesses are looking to connect, please don't hesitate to reach out!"

## Where we stand on the four areas

### Jobs

We are a team of 14, including a part-time junior developer, and most of us are based in Ireland. We have offices in Kilkenny and Cork, and every role we add is a job supporting Irish businesses.

### Community

In September we sponsored an Apple Watch as a prize for the charity weekend at Castlecomer Discovery Park. We also give regular support to Kilkenny Supporting The Homeless and to Amber Women's Refuge. Both do essential work in our home county, and we intend to keep backing them.

### Provenance

Panoptic IT Solutions is a trading name of Panoptic Technology Ltd, an Irish company registered with the CRO (number 596017). We are owned and run in Ireland by our directors, David Griffith and Sinéad Horgan Griffith, and our support team works Irish business hours.

### Sustainability

We run a paperless business. Our support is remote-first, so most issues are fixed without an engineer getting into a car, which cuts travel and gets you a fix sooner. Some of our locations also run on solar power. We know there is more to do here, and the membership gives us a network of businesses to learn from.

## What it means for our clients

The way we work does not change, because the assessment looked at how we already operate. What you get is outside confirmation of a few things that matter when you choose an IT partner:

- You are dealing with an Irish company, accountable in Ireland.
- Your engineers know the Irish and EU rules your business runs under, including GDPR, NIS2 and guidance from the Data Protection Commission.
- The people you meet at the start are the people who look after you day to day.

If you want to see what that looks like in practice, our [managed IT service](https://panoptic.ie/services/managed-it) and [how we onboard new clients](https://panoptic.ie/how-we-onboard) pages set it out.

## Let's connect

Thank you to our team, who made this possible, and to the clients across Ireland who trust us with their systems every day.

If you are a fellow Guaranteed Irish member, or any Irish business looking to connect, we would be glad to hear from you. You can read more [about Panoptic](https://panoptic.ie/about) or [get in touch](https://panoptic.ie/contact) directly.

What does Guaranteed Irish mean for a business?

Guaranteed Irish is a not-for-profit organisation that has promoted businesses in Ireland since 1974. A business that carries its 'Licensed Member' symbol has been assessed by the Guaranteed Irish appraisals committee on its jobs, community contribution, provenance and sustainability. For customers, the symbol is an independent signal that the business is rooted in Ireland and contributes to the local economy.

What criteria does a business need to meet to join Guaranteed Irish?

According to Guaranteed Irish, a business must have been trading in the Republic of Ireland for more than 12 months and have annual turnover of at least €100,000. It is then assessed by an appraisals committee across four areas: jobs, community, provenance and sustainability. Only businesses that pass that assessment can use the Licensed Member symbol.

Can a service business, not just a manufacturer, be Guaranteed Irish?

Yes. Guaranteed Irish membership is open to service businesses as well as manufacturers and retailers. Accountants, solicitors, IT providers and other professional services firms can apply, provided they meet the trading and turnover requirements and pass the appraisals committee's assessment on jobs, community, provenance and sustainability.

Is Panoptic IT Solutions an Irish company?

Yes. Panoptic IT Solutions is a trading name of Panoptic Technology Ltd, registered with the CRO under number 596017. The company is owned and run in Ireland, has offices in Kilkenny and Cork, and became a licensed member of Guaranteed Irish on 1 October 2026.
